The left sock (seen here in an interview more clearly) is dragged from his foot by Tobias Hankel before the unsub beats the sole of it, leaving Reid with one sock visible throughout the rest of the episode. No room for continuity errors there!

I love that he has two pairs of socks with kiwi birds on them…and that he wears them both in the same video.

I had to reblog at least one of these photos, as they are flawless. Thankfully in this one you can see a peek of one of his socks (I think anyway…and if it’s not, OH WELL, HE’S BEAUTIFUL.)
